 Boy George, who is also known as George O’Dowd, was found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort in his East London apartment.

George was warned he could face a jail time for handcuffing Norwegian Audun Carlsen, 29, during a photo shoot with nudity.

George then denied the charges of false imprisonment.  George admitted to police he had handcuffed Carlsen during the photo shoot in April 2007. Carlsen also claimed George had beaten him with a chain when he tried to escape.

George did not give evidence during the trial. He denied Carlsen’s assault claim, saying the bruises he sustained could was because he was HIV positive.

The former Culture Club singer has accused Carlsen of trying to steal photos of himself from his computer which had been taken three months earlier.

Carlsen told the court that George lied about the computer to punish Carlsen for not having sex with him.
“George was very upset that I wouldn’t have sex with him,” said Carlsen. It is reported that George also had performed unprotected oral sex on Carlsen.  George O’Dowd (also known as Boy George) will be sentenced on January 16^th 2009.
